Dr. Marko Novak is Associate Professor of Legal Theory and Constitutional Law at the European Faculty of Law in Nova Gorica, where he is also the Vice-Dean and the Head of the Department of Legal Theory. He was awarded his LL.B. and LL.D. from the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana, while he obtained his LL.M. at the Georgetown University Law Center in the U.S. In Slovenia he passed a state lawyer's examination and is also a court interpreter for the English language. Before he joined the academia, he had been a legal advisor to the Slovene Constitutional Court for more than ten years. He has published professional articles and books in Slovenia and abroad. His main field of professional interests are particularly theory and philosophy of law, constitutional law, legal history, and English legal terminology. Currently he is also a member of the Board of the Slovene National Agency for Quality in Higher Education.
